Hi, I’m Karin, a Clinic Assistant here at Lushington Chiropractic in Eastbourne.

I moved to Eastbourne at the end of 2024 with my husband, and we’ve really enjoyed exploring everything this lovely area has to offer. After retiring last year, I quickly realized that retirement wasn’t quite for me—I missed the pace and people of working life! So, I decided to jump back in and was fortunate to find a new role with the fantastic team at Lushington.

Before joining the clinic, I spent 25 years working in hospitality, opening and managing hotels. It was a rewarding and busy career, but I’m now embracing this new chapter with enthusiasm. The role of Clinic Assistant is varied, engaging, and a real learning experience. There’s so much to take in, but I’m enjoying every moment—especially learning more about chiropractic care.

I have to admit, I didn’t know much about chiropractic treatments before starting here. Years ago, I received a bit of treatment for a sore back, but I never realized just how broad and holistic chiropractic care could be. Since joining, I’ve learned so much from observing the chiropractors and hearing the amazing feedback from our guests. I even had my own consultation with Lizzie, one of our chiropractors, who immediately helped relieve some stiffness and pain in my neck during our first session. It’s eye-opening to see the detailed care plans and how they get to the root of people’s problems—not just treat the symptoms.

Outside of work, I’ve been married for 25 years. Between us, my husband and I have four wonderful children and three beautiful grandchildren who we’re looking forward to spending more time with this summer.

A lovely surprise since starting here is how many people know and speak highly of Lushington Chiropractic. When I told my new neighbour where I was working, she immediately knew the team and had such nice things to say. I feel proud to be part of such a well-respected clinic and am looking forward to many great years ahead.
