About me
I grew up here in Eastbourne, and only moved away to Cardiff to complete my Undergraduate Degree, returning to Eastbourne on completion. I left Eastbourne again in order to complete my Master’s Degree in Chiropractic and a lot of people asked me why was I going back to Eastbourne? The simple truth of the matter is that I genuinely feel at home in Eastbourne. Living by the sea and close to the South Downs is important to me, as it gives me a sense of freedom and belonging (my home town) that I have never felt anywhere else.
I have always enjoyed learning about the human body and understanding the pressures that daily life and sport in particular can have on it. Growing up I was a competitive swimmer and a member of Eastbourne Swimming Club which influenced my decision to study the science behind sport at Cardiff Met University. Having a strong bias to sports, I enjoyed helping athletes return after suffering an injury, back to competing. Additionally, helping them take steps to prevent them repeating the injuries in the future. I especially enjoyed my time working with the Welsh Triathlon Team in this area.

I realised it wasn’t just sport and the athletes that interested me, as family and friends were asking me for advice on their injuries and pain management. It became clear that the physical demands of daily living can be just as challenging for people. Put simply, this was important to me, as I wanted to help people, but it had to done to the very best of my ability.
My Journey
I started my career as a Sports Massage Therapist here in Eastbourne at the Lushington Chiropractic clinic. My journey to chiropractic, like most, started with me asking questions as to how chiropractic treatments work. It was fortunate that I was working here at Lushington Chiropractic enjoying the clinic environment and having the opportunity to observing the Chiropractors. I realised, there was a lot more that I could potentially do to help people; which inspired me to make the decision to go back to university to train and complete a Master’s degree in Chiropractic.

Why come back to Lushington Chiropractic?
Over the years I have got to know some truly inspirational chiropractors and practitioners. The majority of them have graced these very halls at the Lushington clinic. Lushington Chiropractic has a culture of outstanding clinical health care and being a multi-disciplined clinic it embraces treatments across different disciplines. The environment that has been created binds us all to work as a team to treat and help the patients to the very best of our ability, by putting the patient first in all that we do, which is simply the most important aspect to any health care professional and something I value above all.
Lushington Chiropractic is situated in the centre of Eastbourne town and is accessible to all those who live locally, but also to those who live further away as the clinic is also close to the main railway station and just about all bus routes. My final thought to share, is that whilst I truly enjoy working at Lushington Chiropractic, an additional bonus is that after a long day; I can leave and divert my walk home by taking a route along Eastbourne’s outstanding seafront and enjoy the wonderful sights and outstanding sea views.
