Sabrina Appleyard
Clinic Manager
Hi, I’m Sabrina! I joined the team at Lushington Chiropractic in September 2018 as a Clinic Assistant and am now proud to be the Clinic Manager.
I’m a mum and stepmum to five grown-up children and a very proud Nanna to seven gorgeous grandchildren who keep me busy when I’m not at work. We also have a dog and two tortoises at home, so there’s never a dull moment!
I moved to Eastbourne in 2005 and absolutely love it here. It’s been a wonderful place to raise my children, and although it took a little while to adjust to the quieter pace of life, it truly feels like home now we wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.
Staying active is important to me. I’ve previously completed the Brighton Marathon and two Eastbourne Half Marathons, raising money for Parkinson’s UK, Cancer Research, and Make Some Noise (a children’s charity). A personal highlight was coming 5th in a charity carp fishing competition raising over £1,000 for the local charity Dreams Come True, where I was the only woman competing against 20 men!
Before joining the clinic, I worked in dentistry for over 25 years as a dental nurse and receptionist. I was ready for a change, and when I saw the job advert for Lushington Chiropractic, something just clicked. After meeting James and the team, I knew it was the right place for me. From the start, everyone made me feel so welcome, and I quickly got to know many of our chiropractic guests.
When I told friends and family I was joining a chiropractic clinic, I was amazed at how many of them already knew and spoke highly of Lushington! Since then, I’ve had the chance to observe our chiropractors and massage therapists in action, and it’s really opened my eyes. I used to think chiropractic care was just for bad backs, how wrong I was. It’s about so much more than that. The combination of chiropractic and massage therapy works beautifully to not only relieve symptoms but also address the root cause of the issue with a personalised care plan.
Listening to our guests’ stories and seeing the results firsthand made me curious to try it myself. I’d been struggling with a sore and achy shoulder for years due to my previous work, so I finally booked my first visit with Gary. I was nervous at first but I shouldn’t have been. The whole experience was professional, informative, and surprisingly relaxing. Gary explained everything clearly and gave me stretches and posture advice that made a real difference.
Now, I’m able to recommend chiropractic care not just from what I’ve seen, but from my own experience.
If we haven’t met yet, please do say hello, I look forward to meeting you!
